迦勒底

公元前第六世纪，迦勒底被波斯人所征服，埃及也相继覆灭。

When , in the sixth century B.C. , Chaldea fell to the Persians , Egypt followed suit .

神给亚伯拉罕许多的应许；可是这许多应许之中，没有一个能彀实现，当亚伯拉罕还等在迦勒底的时候。

Great things were promised to Abraham , but not one of them could have been obtained by waiting in Chaldea .

耶利米说，迦勒底人必不将你交出。

But Jeremiah said , they shall not deliver thee .

但是迦勒底祭司的传统依然苟延不废。

The tradition of the Chaldean priests still lingered .

他就离开迦勒底人之地住在哈兰。

So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran .

那时，有几个迦勒底人进前来控告犹大人。

Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near , and accused the jews .

他就从迦勒底人之地出来，住在哈兰。

Then he came forth from the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in haran .

当夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被杀。

That very night belshazzar , the king of the chaldaeans , was put to death .

玛代人大流士年六十二岁，取了迦勒底国。

And Darius the Median took the kingdom , being about threescore and two years old .

耶利米说，你这是谎话，我并不是投降迦勒底人。

Then said Jeremiah , It is false ; I fall not away to the Chaldeans .

耶和华如此说、迦勒底人哪、起来上基达去、毁灭东方人。

Thus says the Lord , Arise , go up to Kedar And devastate the men of the east .

跟从护卫长迦勒底的全军就拆毁耶路撒冷四围的城墙。

The whole Babylonian army , under the commander of the imperial guard , broke down the walls around Jerusalem .

The word that the LORD spake against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet .

迦勒底人用火焚烧王宫、百姓的房屋、拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙。

The Babylonians set fire to the Royal Palace and the houses of the people and broke down the walls of jerusalem .

亚伯拉罕原来住在迦勒底的吾珥，他迁移到哈兰，然后到迦南和南地。

Lived in the Ur of the Chaldees before moving to Haran and then to the land of Canaan and the Negev .

他们必在迦勒底人之地被杀仆倒，在巴比伦的街上被刺透。

Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans , and they that are thrust through in her streets .

迦勒底人必再来攻打这城，并要攻取，用火焚烧。

And the Chaldeans shall come again , and fight against this city , and take it , and burn it with fire .

但出去归降围困你们迦勒底人的必得存活，要以自己的命为掠物。

But whoever goes out and surrenders to the Babylonians who are besieging you will live ; he will escape with his life .

耶和华所爱的人，必向巴比伦行他所喜悦的事，他的膀臂也要加在迦勒底人身上。

The LORD hath loved him : he will do his pleasure on Babylon , and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans .

并且我必将你交给寻索你命的人和你所惧怕的人手中，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒和迦勒底人的手中。

I will hand you over to those who seek your life , those you fear-to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to the Babylonians .

迦勒底的军队因怕法老的军队，拔营离开耶路撒冷的时候

And it came to pass , that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh 's army

耶和华如此说，你们不要自欺说迦勒底人必定离开我们，因为他们必不离开。

Thus saith the LORD ; Deceive not yourselves , saying , The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us : for they shall not depart .

阿荷利巴又加增淫行，因她看见人像画在墙上，就是用丹色所画迦勒底人的像

And that she increased her whoredoms : for when she saw men pourtrayed upon the wall , the images of the Chaldeans pourtrayed with vermilion

迦勒底人自高自大，心不正直。惟义人因信得生。

As for the man of pride , my soul has no pleasure in him ; but the upright man will have life through his good faith .

我必兴起迦勒底人，就是那残忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，占据那不属自己的住处。

I am raising up the Babylonians , that ruthless and impetuous people , who sweep across the whole earth to seize dwelling places not their own .

当这个国王把他的术士、用法术的、行邪术的，和迦勒底人叫到王宫的时候，还有四个年轻人留在他们的屋子里。

When the king called for all his magicians , astrologers , sorcerers , and Chaldeans , there were 4 young men who stayed in their rooms .

于是众民，无论大小，连众军长。因为惧怕迦勒底人，都起身往埃及去了。

At this , all the people from the least to the greatest , together with the army officers , fled to Egypt for fear of the Babylonians .

迦勒底的军队追赶西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全军都离开他四散了。

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king , and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho ; and all his army was scattered from him .
