直肠镜：用来检视直肠和下部结肠的有照明设备的管子。

Proctoscope : Lighted tube used to inspect the rectum and lower colon .

方法自1977年至1978年用15cm直肠镜对海宁县185851居民进行直肠肿瘤筛查，共发现1490例直肠腺瘤患者。

Methods 185 851 people in Haining county from 1977 to 1978 were observed by means of a screening examination with a 15 cm rigid sigmoidoscope and 1 490 patients with rectal adenoma were found .

粪便潜血试验阳性者中，26%经过直肠镜证实患有末期肿瘤，9%发现出大肠直肠癌；

Of the patients with a positive fecal occult blood test , 26 % were found upon colonoscopy to have advanced adenoma , and9 % were found to have colorectal cancer .

结论：直肠指检和直肠镜检简便、易行、安全，是诊断早期直肠癌的一项最重要的方法。

Conclusions : Rectal palpation and proctoscopy is simple , feasible and safe , it is most important way to diagnosis early rectal carcinoma .
