毗努伊勒

雅各在毗努伊勒并不是首次与神相见。

Jacob 's all-night at Peniel was not the first occasion upon which he had met his God .

又从示剑出去，建筑毗努伊勒。

From there he went out and built up Peniel .

又拆了毗努伊勒的楼，杀了那城里的人。

And he broke down the tower of Penuel and killed the men of the city .

日头刚出来的时候，雅各经过毗努伊勒，他的大腿就瘸了。

And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him , and he halted upon his thigh .

他向毗努伊勒人说，我平平安安回来的时候，我必拆毁这楼。

And he spake also unto the men of Penuel , saying , When I come again in peace , I will break down this tower .

基甸从那里上到毗努伊勒，对那里的人也是这样说。毗努伊勒人也与疏割人回答他的话一样。

So he went up from there to penuel and made the same request to the men of penuel ; but they gave him the same answer as the men of Succoth had given .
