今天朗读的经文选自《但以理书》。

The reading today is from the Book of Daniel .

先知但以理的预言，用了数百年的时间才能应验；

The prophecies of Daniel took hundreds of years to become reality ;

谁是智慧人？，但以理书作者。

Who are the wise ? The author of the book .

我们可以想像但以理被押到狮子坑的情景吗？

Can we imagine that walk to the lion 's den ?

当那时，我但以理悲伤了三个七日。

In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks .

因此但以理被关进狮子坑中。

Hence the time Daniel ended in the lion 's den .

吃这样的食物会玷污但以理，使神的名受到羞辱。

Eating this food would defile Daniel and dishonor his Lord .

Now the book of Daniel is in two halves .

Then he said to me , Have no fear , Daniel ;

By now Daniel had been away from Jerusalem for many years .
