故此，以色列王对便哈达的使者说，你们告诉我主我王说，王头一次差遣人向仆人所要的，仆人都依从。但这次所要的，我不能依从。

So he replied to Ben-Hadad 's messengers , 'Tell my lord the king , 'Your servant will do all you demanded the first time , but this demand I cannot meet . '

便哈达也逃入城，藏在严密的屋子里。

And Ben-Hadad fled to the city and hid in an inner room .

亚兰王便哈达骑着马和马兵一同逃跑。

But Ben-Hadad king of Aram escaped on horseback with some of his horsemen .

便哈达出来见王，王就请他上车。

When Ben-hadad came out , Ahab had him come up into his chariot .

便哈达对王说，我父从你父那里所夺的城邑，我必归还。

I will return the cities my father took from your father , 'Ben-Hadad offered .

亚兰王哈薛死了，他儿子便哈达接续他作王。

Hazael king of Aram died , and Ben-Hadad his son succeeded him as king .

次年，便哈达果然点齐亚兰人上亚弗去，要与以色列人打仗。

The next spring Ben-Hadad mustered the Arameans and went up to Aphek to fight against Israel .

我却要降火在哈薛的家中，烧灭便哈达的宫殿。

I will send fire upon the house of Hazael that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad .

便哈达听从亚撒王的话，派军长去攻击以色列的城邑。

Ben-hadad agreed with King ASA and sent the commanders of his forces against the towns of israel .

又差遣使者进城见以色列王亚哈，对他说，便哈达如此说

He sent messengers into the city to Ahab king of Israel , saying , 'This is what Ben-Hadad says

我必在大马士革城中使火着起，烧灭便哈达的宫殿。

And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus , and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad .

此后，亚兰王便哈达聚集他的全军，上来围困撒马利亚。

Some time later , Ben-Hadad king of Aram mobilized his entire army and marched up and laid siege to Samaria .

便哈达和诸王正在帐幕里喝酒，听见这话，就对他臣仆说，摆队吧。

Ben-Hadad heard this message while he and the kings were drinking in their tents , and he ordered his men : 'Prepare to attack .

王下6：24此后、兰王便哈达聚集他的全军、来围困撒玛利亚。

And it came to pass after this , that Ben-hadad king of Syria gathered all his host , and went up , and besieged Samaria .

午间，他们就出城。便哈达和帮助他的三十二个王正在帐幕里痛饮。

And in the middle of the day they went out . But Ben-hadad was drinking in the tents with the thirty-two kings who were helping him .

使者又来说，便哈达如此说，我已差遣人去见你，要你将你的金银，妻子，儿女都给我。

The messengers came again and said , 'This is what Ben-Hadad says : 'I sent to demand your silver and gold , your wives and your children .

到了他那里，站在他面前，说，你儿子亚兰王便哈达打发我来见你，他问说，我这病能好不能好。

He went in and stood before him , and said , ' your son Ben-hadad king of Aram has sent me to ask , ' will I recover from this illness ?

便哈达又差遣人去见亚哈说，撒玛利亚的尘土若够跟从我的人每人捧一捧的，愿神明重重地降罚与我。

Then Ben-Hadad sent another message to Ahab : 'May the gods deal with me , be it ever so severely , if enough dust remains in Samaria to give each of my men a handful . '

于是他们腰束麻布，头套绳索，去见以色列王，说，王的仆人便哈达说，求王存留我的性命。

So they girded sackcloth on their loins , and put ropes on their heads , and came to the king of israel , and said , thy servant Benhadad saith , I pray thee , let me live .

以利沙来到大马色，亚兰王便哈达正患在罗马人来到以前，布利顿人居住在英格兰。
